For something a little more adventurous, this half-day safari takes you into the beautiful Akamas area by quad bike or buggy. You'll travel along a mixture of roads and off-road tracks, with stops at some of the area's most popular natural attractions.
The tour combines driving, spectacular scenery and time for swimming, making it a fun way to explore more of the countryside around Paphos.
Approximately 3–4 hours, making this a great option if you don't want to spend an entire day on an excursion.
The main meeting point is in the Peyia area. A paid transfer from Paphos may be available and needs to be arranged in advance. A shuttle from the operator's Coral Bay office may also be available on request.
The safari is a guided adventure, with the choice of travelling by quad bike or buggy. The route includes both normal roads and rougher off-road tracks, giving you the chance to experience the Akamas countryside from a very different perspective.
Helmets and goggles are provided, along with petrol and an English-speaking guide.
Adonis Falls & Baths – Stop at the beautiful Adonis Baths, where there is time to enjoy the waterfall and, if you wish, take a refreshing swim. The water can be very cold!
Sea Caves – Enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery and stop for photographs around the sea caves.
Lara Bay – Visit the beautiful natural coastline of Lara Bay, with time to relax and enjoy a swim if conditions allow.
Akamas Peninsula – Travel through the rugged landscape of the Akamas area, with plenty of opportunities to see the countryside and enjoy the scenery along the way.
There are opportunities to swim at Adonis Baths and Lara Bay, so don't forget to bring your swimming clothes and a towel.
The water at Adonis Baths is particularly cold, but it can be a memorable part of the experience!
Passengers must be at least 6 years old. However, this is an active off-road adventure rather than a traditional sightseeing tour, so families should consider whether younger children will be comfortable with the journey.
Anyone driving must have a valid driving licence. A photograph or copy of the licence on a phone is not accepted.
We recommend bringing:
Comfortable clothes suitable for off-road driving
Closed-toe shoes
Swimwear and a towel
Sun cream and a hat
Plenty of water
A change of clothes if you are planning to swim
A physical driving licence if you are driving
Be prepared to get dusty! The off-road sections can be quite dusty, so avoid wearing your best clothes.
The entrance fee to Adonis Falls/Baths is not included in the tour price and is approximately €10 per person. Any optional transfer from Paphos is also an additional cost.
Our Recommendation
If you're looking for something more exciting than a traditional sightseeing excursion, this is a great way to explore the Akamas countryside and coastline. The combination of quad or buggy driving, off-road tracks, waterfalls and swimming stops makes it an action-packed half-day adventure.
It's particularly suited to visitors who want to get out and explore rather than simply sit on a tour bus.
